Ok I'm tired....

CUPC's youth group has changed its name to RUSH.....

They Rush to Everything now....

They raised $$$$ to remodel an old garage we own into their new youth room.....

The Spot will be the epicenter of many exciting things in the coming months....

I'm tired because I have been working on The Spot all day......

I am very proud of our kids....

It is a good tired that I feel....

BTW the graphic above is a borrowed one.....

They have thier own graphics that I am not allowed to copy and paste around....ha

The Funeral Week....

This week we have three funerals connected to CUPC and a dear ministers wife totalling four....

What a week.....

Knowing I might not be back in town for Mid.Point (Wed nite) I asked Chris Ferguson to cover for me.....

I came in to the service late and the altars were filled with people crying and repenting......

Nuff said.....

Then I had some folks bragging on Trent's service leading.....

I would like to dedicate this particular blog to the good young men who are allowing me to reproduce myself in them....

In return they are sharing and helping us here at CUPC......

Thank you gentlemen.....

Blessings....

Goodbye to Jason Pressler

Today I will stand in front of a family that weeps over the loss of their loved one.....

Jason died in a car wreck last week and today we remember him.....

He was one of our babies that played such a vital role in the early days of CUPC.....

He later made some choices took him away from us.....

We make our choices and then our choices make us.......

I am very sad today that Jason was taken from this life at a much too young age....

Today I stand in a most difficult place but I know the Lord will bring comfort to this family....

And hopefully wisdom to this pastor....

Thank you for your prayers.....

OK people....

Here it is 11:45 p.m. and I am wondering about funeral details for Sis Sharon Chance who passed away earlier today after a losing the long battle with cancer.....

Our prayers are with her family......

Anyway at 11:45 I email a couple of brothers and ask if they have details of the funeral....

Within 3 minutes both have replied with details of the funeral....

This leads me to an observation.....

11:45 on a Monday night and we are all sitting with laptops and easy chairs in the beautiful homes the Lord has allowed us.....

Are we not blessed.....

And have times not changed........

I hope I never take his blessings for granted....

My friend Mike Chance is telling his greatest blessing goodbye this week.....

Again prayers for the Chance family.....

Blessings...

Let the Healer Speak

In January of this year I penned The United Pentecostal Church Needs a Healer. Amid the rumblings of a post Resolution 4 and fears of losing many good brethren from the UPCI this was sent around the world. Now some months later I am led to follow up and pray you will be blessed....rks

Something is happening in the United Pentecostal Church International!

The decision in Tampa sparked a change in many….

Some left or will leave over Tampa’s decision….

For others the decision will not be enough.....

A pendulum swings both ways……

Something has happened in the United Pentecostal Church!

Healers are rising to sound a clear sound in the pulpit….

Across the movement the Healer’s voice declares the Word of the Lord….

Recent Camp Meetings resonated with the sound of old fashioned preaching…..

A life of separation admonished ….

The crowds gladly received the Word…..

The Healer is speaking….

Something is happening in the United Pentecostal Church!

For too long sensational sermons dominated meetings….

Spin off preaching of Pentecostal pop culture media personalities became the norm….

Inspiration for some came from internet sermons sites….

The sensationalism wowed but with little heart change…

Current church trends were emulated…..

Relevant emergents endeavored to replace Paul’s admonition to Timothy…..

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Preacher Man…Preach the Word….

The Word that exhorts and reproves and rebukes….

Sensationalized spin off sermons from media personalities are powerless, pitiful and weak….

People want exhortation and reproof and even longsuffering rebukes from the Word of God…

They know the difference…..

Preach the Word with a tear in your voice…..

People deserve more than harsh preaching….

More than empty words of a Pentecostal pop culture….

Give the people the Word with exhortations and reproving rebukes and exhortations in love and truth…..

Let the Healer speak….

Preacher Man, may every pulpit across America possess a healer……

Every God called preacher is a healer to the pulpit he fills….

The UPCI needs a Healer….

You Preacher Man are that Healer….

Preach the Word with exhortation and reproof and rebuke in love and doctrine…

You will heal the land….

Let the Healer speak!

If chosen to preach a youth rally…Preach the Word!

If blessed to preach a camp…..Preach the Word!

If speaking at a special conference…. Preach the Word!

If speaking at a General Conference…. Preach the Word with doctrine and truth and or rebukes in the right spirit…

The United Pentecostal Church knows the difference of anointed truth and imitated pop culture platitudes…..

Be a Healer Preacher Man….

Preach the Word that will heal a life….

Regardless the pulpit, offer truth and doctrine and exhortation and reproof and rebuke and exhortations in love….

Let the Healer speak….

Blessings....

Draw the Line

Smoke still drifted from the priestly garments now turned bag of bones worn by Nadab and Abihu…

Moses dared Aaron to weep or mourn for his boys who offered strange fire on a holy altar of God….

The Lord does not play games with such things…

Moses told him that you are anointed of the Lord and those that are anointed are expected to live and die differently than others….

To this point God had spoken to Moses but for the first and last time HE speaks directly to Aaron….

Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; Lev 10:9,10

HE admonished him that there are some things one does not do when he is to enter Holy Places…

And then the Lord gives direction to Aaron that is startling in its clarity…..

Aaron, YOU are to put a difference between holy and unholy and clean and unclean….

YOU draw the line Aaron….

You are not to depend on Moses and the law for some defining points of clean and unclean…

Aaron you are to draw the line for yourself between clean and unclean and holy and unholy….

We learn from this that there are some things a man must settle for himself….

Pastor or friend or even the Word cannot settle some issues….

But God expects each of US to draw a line between clean and unclean and holy and unholy…..

Nadab and Abihu are proof positive that God does not play around with such things….

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 2 Cor 6:19…

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you 2 Cor 6:17…

Why?….

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle , or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Eph 5:27

HIS bride must be spotless and wrinkle free…

But for the legalist among us please note he was speaking to you as well….

No spots or wrinkles remind us there are absolute things in black and white defined within the Word that qualify as spots or wrinkles….

But there are those intangibles that cannot be defined as a spot or wrinkle….

Paul covered this as well when he wrote….

Any such thing….

Some things might not be a spot or wrinkle but they pertain to a spot or wrinkle and help create future spots or wrinkles….

My dear blogging friend…

Each of us must settle some things for ourselves….

We must each draw the line between holy and unholy and clean and unclean….

We are not our own, rather HE purchased us….

We cannot touch the unclean….

We must avoid spot and wrinkle….

And all those things that might create spots or wrinkles tomorrow…..

And never forget my blogger buddy…..

We have the simmering cloaks full of Nadab’s and Abihu’s bones to remind us…

That we do not do some things…

Blessings…
